After years of trial and error with various types of material and techniques the primary benefit 3D printing offers is adaptability. A 3D model to print currently exists for just about every application, hobby and field of work.

Using only the best 3D prints available from trusted creator ensures the best end result. An option to upload a 3D model isn’t available only the pre-selected items are for browsing and purchase.

Why are 3D-Printed Online products only made out of a single hard plastic material, when a large variety is available to use?

PETG (Polyethylene terephthalate glycol) material is used exclusively at 3D-Printed Online for all of it’s benefits on hard plastic prints.

Most 3D Prints are made out of PLA (Polylactide) making it the most common type of material used for 3D printing due to it’s extremely low cost and availability. However, it does have issues with not being UV protected and not being as durable as other plastics such as PETG. A quick comparison of PLA vs PETG is shown here:

InfoGraphMaterial

Flexible material that is also 100% recyclable is also available for 3D prints now!

Stringing happens – due to the type of material being used small thin strands of plastic could be found on any given print. The vast majority of the stringing is removed during post processing. Any remaining stringing can be removed with most adhesive tapes.

3D Prints are not indestructible they can break under a reasonable amount of impact. On the upside they can be repaired with standard permanent liquid adhesive meant for bonding plastics.

Quality assurance is done on all prints before Shipping to prevent any abrasive material is removed.

Some 3D prints are so complex not all compartments or contours can be reached for post processing. It is good to be aware plastic can at times be sharp please handle with care.

Paint and Clear safe to handle and Recycle?

Only non-toxic clear coat and Acrylic – either water based or water borne paint is used. Products are safe to handle for human hands. Custom paint and clear coat applied to 3D items is very similar to the inks used in most mainstream plastic packaging also being recycled.
